Easy Card Templates Using Designer Series Paper

If you love the look of Designer Series Paper but don’t want to overthink the design, this project is for you. In this post, I’m sharing an easy template that I’ve created two different ways using only Designer Series Paper. Same template, same basic steps — just a few simple changes to show how one layout can give you two completely different looks. This is a great approach when you want quick cards that feel finished without adding extra layers, stamps, or techniques.

Four completed handmade cards created using one easy card template with Designer Series Paper

These easy templates can be used with any stamps, ink, and paper you already have, especially Designer Series Paper. It’s designed to be flexible, repeatable, and easy to adapt to your own supplies. For today’s project, I’m featuring Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper along with the Beautiful Motifs stamp set from Stampin’ Up!, but this same layout will work beautifully with whatever DSP and stamps you love.

What are card templates?

Making handmade cards is simple when you use these templates to spark your creativity. Think of them as your “patterns” for designing cards—whether you want something quick and easy or prefer to step it up to any level of creativity.

Template Tips:

  • Adjust the sizes or shapes of the layers to fit the stamps, dies, and punches you’re using.
  • Cut layers from cardstock, Designer Series Paper, embossed cardstock, or specialty papers for different looks.
  • Rotate the template to create either vertical or horizontal cards.
  • Step it up by adding more layers, embellishments, die-cuts, or punches.
