Best Alcohol Markers: Stampin’ Blends! Let’s Make a Fun Card!
Have you ever colored with alcohol markers? If you haven’t you are in for a real treat! Let me show you how the Stampin’ Blends work and how smooth it is to color and blend with them. These are hands down the best markers for coloring in my opinion and a must-have in my craft stash!
We are using the ‘Forever Blossoms’ stamp set and the ‘In Good Taste’ Designer Series Paper for the card today. Make sure to watch the video to see how I added dimension to my project too!
Today’s Featured Card
These cards are made the same way, I just used a different piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and different colors of Stampin’ Blends for the flowers.

The one on the left was colored with Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. The flowers on the right were colored with Purple Posy.
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ (I used Gray Granite and Smoky Slate)
- Whisper White: 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ (make sure to watch video to see what this piece is for)
- DDSP: 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
- Inside: Whisper White: 5″ x 3 3/4″
- Inside: Basic Black: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Don’t forget to make the inside as pretty as the outside!

If you have not yet tried Stampin’ Blends, add a couple to your next order and give them a try.

Important Tips:
- When coloring with Stampin’ Blends, make sure to stamp your image in Memento Ink
- Whisper White or Very Vanilla (regular or thick) cardstock should be used
- Color small sections at a time. In this case, one flower complete with light and dark, then the next, ect…

Hi Jackie,
I’ve never seen anyone tie their bows like that before! That’s absolutely brilliant! Thank you! I’ll be trying that method for sure?
Ang
Awesome! Let me know if it works for you!
What die did you use for the sentiment “banner?”
Debbie, honestly I’m not sure I recall the exact one….we have so many. For a banner you can cut the ends to get the look yourself, or you could use a punch….we have the triple banner punch or the tailored tag punch that can be used for banners. If you want to use die cuts you could try the stitched rectangles, or the new ‘tasteful labels’ dies. Hope this helps!
I just ordered my first set of Stampin Blends and this video appeared! Perfect timing – can’t wait to use them?
Awesome! You’ll love them…they are so easy to use and blend together so well.
