Spotlight Card Technique: Is This Happy Technique As Easy As It Looks?

spotlight-card-technique

This happy Spotlight Card Technique is easy and fun. It’s a quick way to make a greeting card’s focal point really pop with color. And, it’s much quicker to color a little part of the image, rather than this big stamped image.

Spotlighting part of your image gives your card a different look and it’s a fun card making technique to use with these big stamps.

To use this pretty spotlight card technique I decided to feature the NEW ‘Blessings of Home’ stamp set. There are SO many wonderful new paper crafting supplies in the January-July mini catalog that just came out. I can’t wait to show some of it off to you today!

My Klompen Stampers Demonstrator Teams loves to learn new stamping ideas, layouts, techniques…..and participate in fun card making challenges. Challenges force us out of our “stamping box” and get us thinking in different ways as we create.

Each month I try to have different types of challenges for my team to participate in. This time I thought I would share some of the great cards that they created when I gave them this card making challenge.

Everyone was given EXACT sizes of cardstock and Designer Series Paper to cut. They could use any colors/paper, but they had to cut exactly per the diagram for this card making challenge. Here is the diagram that I gave them.
