Who Else Wants Easy Ways to Use Stencils For Card Making?

I love card making techniques that are easy. Using stencils for card making to blend a background color is so cool. Honestly, I have had these stencils for a long time and never touched them. I finally decided to play and oh my goodness, what easy wonderful backgrounds you can make!

Why have I not tried these stencils for card making before??

It was so easy to use a Blending Brush and add some ink. You could cover the whole card layer, but I really liked the look of it partially stenciled and then fading away.

Today’s video is loaded with tips on using stencils for card making! I think you’ll want to add some stencils to your next order; they truly are a hidden gem in the catalog!

Here’s A Quick Way To Make Monochromatic Masculine Cards

I was able to make 2 monochromatic masculine cards with the new ‘Reflected in Nature’ stamp set. This stamp is amazing. Well, the whole stamp set is great, but the cabin image is incredible! Look at all that detail in one stamp.

It would be perfect for ANY occasion masculine card–just add the greeting of your choice. Plus, it comes with some pretty sweet greetings too!

The cards shown here use the retired Happy Thoughts stamp set; I know many of you have this stamp set so I did not feel too bad using it. This was the stamp set I had the honor of designing, but unfortunately it retired in June. Never fear…. these fall cards are really designed so that you can use any greetings that you have. My Klompen Stampers Demonstrator Teams loves to learn new stamping ideas, layouts, techniques…..and participate in fun card making challenges. Challenges force us out of our “stamping box” and get us thinking in different ways as we create.

Each month I try to have different types of challenges for my team to participate in. This time I thought I would share some of the great cards that they created when I gave them this card making challenge.

Everyone was given EXACT sizes of cardstock and Designer Series Paper to cut. They could use any colors/paper, but they had to cut exactly per the diagram for this card making challenge. Here is the diagram that I gave them.

Cute Cards Every Kid & Grandkid Will Love To Get In The Mail

I think using note cards is a great way to start in card making! These cute cards are perfect to make for kids and grandkids and you can make a bunch of these quickly.

We are using the TO THE MOON stamp set today which I almost overlooked in the catalog. It’s actually adorable and perfect for cards for kids for any occasion.

These cute cards were stamped on blank note cards with a layer of blue cardstock behind the stamped layer.
