Use Vellum to Create Elegant Cards

Nothing screams elegance like vellum.  In my cards today I added it to the front and for the inside layer.  BUT–the card is super QUICK & EASY, just like everything I make!

Card Recipe:

  • Petal Pink:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  • Printed Vellum for front:  4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Vellum for inside:  8 3/8″ x 5 1/2″

Note:  The vellum for the inside is 8 3/8″ rather than 8 1/2″.  By taking that little bit off it does not stick out when the card is folded.

  2. Hi Jackie, I am a newcomer to using vellum – even though I have been making cards for some years. I have recently discovered pergamano, and I love it – creating some beautiful white work. I do encounter problems when adhering hand embossed vellum. I use a sponge to spread glue lightly, but I don’t really want to glue where I have embossed as it reduces the 3D effect – but then I get bubbles it becomes unusable. Any ideas for how I can get this right? I don’t want to give up – so I am seeking advice from the experts. Thank you

    • Hi Annie, I would try using our mini glue dots on places in the vellum where you can kinda hide that they are there.
